Rhone River

A Rhone River cruise will be a river cruise through the south
of France. As you cruise on the Rhone River, you will travel
through the vineyard covered hills of Burgundy and the lavender-
scented fields of Provence. Your Rhone River cruise will also
briefly cruise the Saone River.

Your Rhone River cruise will take you to UNESCO World Heritage
Sites, to the places that inspired van Gogh and to wineries and
palaces.

Your Rhone River cruise will stop at:

  • Lyon - not only is the city a UNESCO World Heritage Site
but it is considered the culinary capital of France. Do not
miss the opportunity to eat on shore.  Even if it is not included
    with your cruise, make the effort and spend the money;
you will be glad you did.

  • Arles - A Rhone River cruise would simply not be complete
without a stop here. Vincent van Gogh lived in Arles and
was inspired by its beauty. Discover the sun-drenched vistas
and ancient Gallo-Roman ruins, also classified as UNESCO
    World Heritage Site.

  • Tournon - one of France's oldest cities, it is set amidst
a beautiful landscape of vineyards and fruit trees. Enjoy
wine tasting and perhaps a visit to the Valrhona chocolate
    factory.

  • Avignon - It would not be a Rhone River cruise without
a stop in Avignon. A Medieval walled city, Avignon was
home to the Catholic Church and its Popes for most of
the 14th Century and the Palace of the Popes is a 'must'
    see for any visitor.

Your Rhone River cruise gives you the opportunity to cruise
through regions most people only see in travel magazines.
A Rhone River cruise is a treat for all the senses - the enduring
vineyards, culinary delights, lavender-scented fields and the charm
of the many small villages that dot Provence.

Rhone River cruises can include the opportunity to continue your
exploration of this lovely region with either a pre-cruise
or post-cruise package. (or both!)

Either before or after your Rhone River cruise, visit Paris, one
of the world's most beautiful cities. Stroll its wide boulevards,
sip coffee in a cafe, shop the Champs-Elysees, be awe struck at
the Louvre.

Or if you've been to Paris and would like something a bit more
relaxing, add a few nights in Nice to your Rhone Cruise. Known
as the 'Queen of the French Riviera, Nice is the absolute jewel
of the Cote d'Azur.

Because these are packages that include meals and sightseeing,
you will save money and time over making these arrangements
independently.

Added to the stress-free nature of Rhone River cruising and you
have a great cruise vacation with all the details handled. Plus,
since everything is pre-paid (except for that fabulous meal on
shore in Lyon) before you leave on your trip, there is no need
to worry about exchange rates and the rising costs of hotels
and meals.

Avoya Travel works only with the best Rhone River Cruise Lines
and Tour Operators. We can get you the best available prices
for all Rhone River cruises plus any discounts and special
promotions offered. Call us today to book your
